I know a Secret ~ Digibrushed

This is my second shot at Corel Painter. Before a few days ago I have never used Painter before and now I am absolutely hooked.
Photographed by : http://rust2d.deviantart.com/gallery/ - this is a digipainting of the model Yana Ultra (view actual photograph used here: http://www.deviantart.com/view/21355202/ . I really wanted to see what I was capable of, as well as what the program could do. I paint traditionally and, NO I didn't 'trace' the picture.
I did however, flip the pic around though - just because I find painting faces to the left is easier... go figure.
I chose this photograph to teach myself tonal values, light and dark, negative space and foreground and background in Painter.
Being a photoshop lover, this program was easy to get used to once I had a few Lynda.com tutorials to help me with my way around.

Done entirely in Corel Painter.
Approx 20 hrs of work.

This is my very first attempt @ the Corel Painter program. I learned how to use it with a few tutorials just last week and I have been hooked. I paint traditionally so the transition from brush to Wacom + Pen eventually became smoother as I went along.

Painted entirely in Painter.
Approx. 18 hrs.
Reference: <a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v60/NomadSoul/25522.jpg" target="_blank">Here</a>
Please note: This painting was done using the above reference which I cannot seem to find the acutal photographer's name or whereabouts. It was a beautiful picture that I collected a long time ago and if you know who the artist is who shot it, please contact me asap and I will give due credit to their lovely piece.
Thank you to the photographer who made this landscape available for all of us!

Determination

This is me. I am quite an extroverted introvert and I usually find comfort in learning new tricks ( ex: Photoshop, Painter) from books and tutorials and in being wrapped up in copious amounts of fabric. I love space and the spectacular nebuals, galaxies, planets etc... and usually find myself hypnotized by the stars. Red is a passionate color, to which I am very fond of right now..but the entire piece is a representation of myself as an always-learning, ever-determined, passionate and quiet Artist...in space...and usually focussed on what I can learn next!

Approx 15 hrs in Painter w/ Wacom.
